What sets smoothe electrolysis apart from others?
Your electrologist is trained in all modalities and can adjust settings manually to meet your exact needs. We are trained and specialized as manual operators meaning we asses your hair and skin type and come up with a tailor made plan just for you.
Is electrolysis hair removal painful?
Everyone’s tolerance of discomfort varies, if you feel any. Since we are manual operators we make sure to be at the lowest setting possible to minimize any discomfort and prevent over treatment. Discomfort also varies depending on the location of treatment, some areas are more tolerable than others. Your electrologist at smoothe has a great reputation with insertions and overall treatment that many of her clients don’t feel any discomfort and have fallen asleep during treatment. Of course, this will be individualized to you.
Will you apply topical anesthetic?
You are allowed to use up to 5% topical anesthetic if you need. Most clients do not need this. We request you purchase the local anesthetic over the counter and apply it before coming to your appointment so you give the ointment time to work and are ready to go when you arrive. Please apply it 45min before your appointment and place plastic wrap over the area.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes! We accept insurance.The client is required to pay for their service upfront and we will provide you with a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Your insurance provider must give you authorization for reimbursement.
